We believe that the very least that card should weigh is 260gsm, anything less than this will not withstand the post and handing. The quality of envelopes should also be checked, for quality and colour match. When spending a lot on handmade wedding invitations it would be a shame to send them out with a poor quality envelope.
Most companies will offer their invites in a postal box, usually for an extra cost, but this is always worth considering when sending delicate designs through the rigours of the post.
