The biggest expense for a wedding is normally the venue, the wedding dress and the honeymoon. I think the last research I did on this averaged the budget out at a round figure of about 15 thousand pounds.

What are your thoughts on having a green wedding? Don't get me wrong, I am a big fan of making the future a lot greener, but, how many brides will opt to ride to there wedding on a bicycle and have a wedding dress made from recycled material. If you are one of these people then full credit to you and I hope your day is one too remember. The above comment may be a little extreme for most people (going to there wedding on a bike), so why not opt for an environmentally friendly car to drive you to the ceremony rather than a big thirsty executive one? Lets be fiar, if the bride choose to ride on a bike to the ceremony then I think the guests should also contribute in some way. As 50 - 100 guests making an effort compared to 1 bride will have a much bigger impact on the environment.
